Jeremy was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA and received a wrestling scholarship to Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where he earned his degree in Economics and Business. After spending five years as a contracting officer in the Air Force, he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Regent University. Jeremy was with Merrill Lynch for seven years prior to joining the MacDonald & Ingram Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2007, where he served as Managing Director – Investments and Private Investment Management Portfolio Manager. In 2018, he founded Beacon Harbor Wealth Advisors with his longtime business partner, George MacDonald, Jr., and is serving as Co-President and CEO. He advises individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and endowments on financial planning and investment strategies. He also serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO); responsible for research, due diligence, portfolio construction, execution, and the ongoing management of investment strategies. As CIO, he chairs Beacon Harbor Wealth Advisors’ Investment Committee. Jeremy is a member of the CFA Institute and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Aside from financial advising, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, boating and wakeboarding. Jeremy is actively involved in his community serving on the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Virginia Beach Board of Directors. He is a member of Norfolk Christian Schools’ Finance Committee and serves on the VMI Keydet Club Board of Governors. He is Treasurer of the Dunlap Garrick Christian Community Foundation and attends Trinity Church. Jeremy is also a 2011 graduate of Lead Hampton Roads and was a Triton for the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival in 2022.
